SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME

Announcements
The announcements will be brief reports, categorised according to their topic to different Sessions. Each announcement will last 15 or 20 minutes (including questions).

Debates
Debates will cover important and controversial issues in Yoga, Science and Psychotherapy. Each of them (90 minutes) will include brief initial presentations followed by a broad interactive discussion. The topics and the experts will be identified by the Scientific Committee.

Forums
These sessions (90 minutes each) will cover critical issues in Psychotherapy, Science and Yoga Traditions and will be organised by experts invited by the Scientific Committee.

New Research Reports
These will be brief reports (20 minutes + 5 minutes of discussion) presenting new research findings of potential general interest. They will be selected by the Scientific Committee from those submitted by any interested participants.

Posters
Posters will be presented in Poster Sessions, grouped by subject. They will be selected by the Scientific Committee from those submitted by any interested participants. Each poster should be 100 cm wide x 120 cm high. The text and illustrations should be readable from a distance of 2 meters.

Regular Symposia
These 90 minutes sessions will be selected by the Scientific Committee from those proposed by any interested participants. Each symposium will include no more than five presentations. 

Special & Plenary Lectures
A series of Special Lectures (30 minutes + 10 minutes of discussion) will be presented by leaders of several fields invited by the Scientific Committee. The plenary lectures will have a strong scientific focus and will be mainly theoretical and research-oriented.

Video & Film Sessions
These sessions (up to 90 minutes each) will show videos and films involving the presentation of perspectives from different parts of the world. They will be selected by the Scientific Committee from those submitted by any interested Yoga Expert and Psychotherapist.

Workshops
Courses will be of 3 or 6 hour duration. For each of the courses, a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 25 participants will be accepted. Courses must be designed to emphasize active involvement of the participants and include an opportunity for an informal exchange with the faculty.
